Poisonous Nigerian bottling company

I used to be a lover of fruit juice but after seeing and reading this,.. I think i'm gonna have a rethink

According to a Facebook user identified as Jolayemi Babajide, he had purchased a packet of juice to drink with his brother, when they discovered the drink tasted funny.

Babajide and his brother Ahmed Yusuf, decided to pour it into a white bowl, only to discover the drink had large chunks of debris inside it.

A disgusted Babajide decided to share his discovery on Facebook. See what he wrote below:

“POISONOUS NIGERIAN BOTTLING COMPANY
Earlier today, I went with my brother Ahmed Yusuf to buy some stuffs for our breakfast, we decided to buy 5 Alive on our way home. At first, he poured it inside mugs, we tasted it and noticed that the taste was bad, we went further by pouring it inside a wide plate and this was what we found, I don’t know any Consumers’ agency to report this to but I’ve posted it on Twitter and it’s trending already, people should beware of these packaged drinks”

2016 budget stress ##President Buhari returns 2016 budget to NASS for the third time

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly returned the controversial 2016 budget to the National Assembly for the third time.

The budget which has been an issue of serious debate in the past few months, was said to have been returned to the lawmakers on Tuesday, May 3, after it emerged that the president was still unhappy with some of its contents.

According to Vanguard, the 2016 appropriation bill was returned for further legislative work as principal officers and members of the review committee from both legislative chambers met for about two hours on Tuesday evening.

A source close to the committee revealed that the president refused to touch the budget after it was submitted to him because there were still issues he was not comfortable with.

“The budget got to the State House at about 1.10am and Mr. President went through it early this morning and still had some issues with some of the figures. I can not tell you exactly what it was but I think the insertions made by the lawmakers were not significantly altered.

“You know the lawmakers had moved some allocations for key projects that are dear to the president to other areas especially to their constituency projects. Of course, they have changed some but I believe Mr. President is not satisfied with the reconciliation they made. I think this is one of the reasons why it was returned,” the anonymous source revealed.

Speaking further, the impeccable source told Vanguard that the president would assent to the budget on Wednesday, May 4, only if the lawmakers make all the corrections and transmit the document to him tonight.

According to him: “I can assure you, Mr. President is desirous to sign the budget because he is aware and has acknowledged that Nigerians are going through hardship.

“He is also concerned so if the budget is cleaned up this night and sent to him, he will sign it as soon as possible. That I know very well.”

And while the 2016 budget is yet to be signed by the president, the ministry of budget and national planning says it has begun the preparation of 2017 budget.

The minister of state budget and national planning, Zainab Ahmed who was quoted in a statement signed by Charles Dafe, director of Information in the ministry, disclosed this when the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) paid her a courtesy visit.

The ministry solicited the support of ANAN to build the capacity of the staff on Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) application.

Vanguard reports that Joshua Eshua the team manager of the Nigerian Cricket Foundation  stated that the choice of the Indian coach, Shrinam Reganathan, who was employed on voluntary basis, will take the country far in the competition organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

“We are happy to have such a coach that has attained the highest level of coaching training in India. India is one of the best cricket nations in the world and we strongly believe his wealth of experience will impact positively on our team at the ICC league,” he said.

Reganathan is a level-A certified coach under the Board of Control of Cricket in India. He has been included in Nigeria’s team technical crew after a string of unimpressive performances.

More than 14 Nigerian cricket players have been invited to camp ahead of the training tour and competition.

The Nigerian cricket team is expected to embark on a training tour to Essex in London from May 11, to acclimatize before departing for the league.

Tee Billz is irresponsible

Just few days back Tee Billz’s third baby mama and sugar mummy, Dr Vivian Oputa was unveiled as Tiwa Savage remains more broken about the ongoing separation between herself and her husband.

Many believed that Tiwa Savage was lying when she revealed that Tunji Balogun does not take care of their baby Jamil but another revelation disclosed that Tee Billz does not also take care of his other children. According to Encomium Magazine, they disclosed that the 37-year old man also neglects his daughter Onah, from Dr Vivian Oputa.

They said: “Insiders disclosed that the handsome dude hardly visits the Lekki (Lagos) home of her baby mama who is in her 50s, in spite of the fact that it is nearby (to the 1004 Flats he shared with Tiwa, and the Lekki duplex they later moved to). That he does not provide either material or physical needs of mum and daughter.” Remember that it was once reported that he doesn’t cater for the two kids he has abroad too.

Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum begins oil production in Lagos.

Despite the lingering oil crisis in Nigeria, an oil firm, Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company Limited (YFP), says it has begun the production of crude oil from its Aje Field located in Block OML 113, offshore Lagos.

According to firm, Aje field has production capacity of 40,000 barrels of oil per day and storage capacity of 750,000 barrels.

Speaking through a statement, Bolaji Musa the oil firm’s General Manager said the oil firm is a wholly owned Nigerian company and Operator of OML113. The other partners are: New Age Exploration Nigeria Limited, EER (Colobus) Nigeria Limited, Pan Petroleum (Panoro Energy) Aje Limited and PR Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited.

“After over 25 years of exploratory, appraisal and developmental activities, YFP has successfully pioneered the opening of the Frontier Benin Embayment. The Aje Field is the first field to record production from this part of Nigeria and is the first production outside of the Niger Delta.

“Commissioning of the Front Puffin FPSO was successfully completed after its arrival in Nigeria on 16th March 2016.

“We are very proud of and appreciative of the efforts, determination and commitment, of the entire Aje Project team past and present, the constant support from our regulators, the DPR and Ministry of Petroleum and our financiers. We believe this crucial support will spur us on to even greater achievements.

“The Aje Field contains hydrocarbon resources in sandstone reservoirs in three main levels – a Turonian gas condensate reservoir, a Cenomanian oil reservoir and an Albian gas condensate reservoir,” YFP added.

Also quoted in the statement, its chairman Tunde Folawiyo said: “The attainment of this milestone is indeed a laudable achievement not just for YFP but for the Nigerian oil and gas industry as a whole and indeed Lagos State which can now be addressed as an oil producing state. Recording this achievement in the present global oil climate together with the peculiar challenges of the field is clearly no mean feat.”

Aje is an offshore field located in OML 113 in the Dahomey Basin in the Southwest. The field is situated in water depths ranging from 100 to 1,000 metres, about 24 km from the coast.

Meanwhile, Femi Otedola, Nigerian business mogul, has lost more than $400 million in the past nine weeks. According to Vanguard, Otedola’s loss of his personal fortune came as a result of a 43.5% shed off in stock price of Forte Oil, the Nigerian-listed energy behemoth he controls.

Militants are taking the fight to the Fulani herdsmen as they have given them two weeks ultimatum to leave the South-East and South-South states

Niger Delta agitators under the aegis of Concerned Militant Leaders (CML) have announced that they will declare war if Fulani herdsmen fail to leave the South-East and South-South states within two weeks.

The Sun reports that the group issued a warning on Tuesday, May 3, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital, following recent attacks and killings of innocent people by herdsmen

The CML spokesperson, simply known as General Ben, stressed that the federal government should within the 14 days deadline tell Nigerians who the Fulani herdsmen are, otherwise, the spate of killings of the “so-called herdsmen” would be unprecedented.

General Ben noted that the group had been patiently waiting for the government’s reaction to the gruesome murder of innocent people.

Expressing disappointment that the federal government had not demonstrated genuine commitment to checkmate activities of the herdsmen, the spokesman said:

“After two weeks, starting from today, Tuesday, May 3, we are going to search for Fulani herdsmen. Since federal government cannot tell us who they are up till now, we are going to look for them.”

Describing the attacks as provocative and challenging, General Ben stressed that the criminals would not go without taking revenge.

“The Fulani herdsmen have indirectly challenged us, asking us what we can do. But, we promise them that we will not allow them to go without taking revenge. It is an insult and we will give them back,” he vowed.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has restated his administration’s resolve to deal decisively and expeditiously with the continued attacks on communities across the country by Fulani herdsmen.

According to Buhari, a directive has been issued to the national security agencies to take all necessary action to apprehend and expose those behind the heinous attacks.
